The administrator and owner of the website “www.linuxpolska.com” (hereinafter referred to as the Site) is Linux Polska Sp. z o.o., based in Warsaw, Al. Jerozolimskie 100, 00-807 Warsaw, entered into the Register of Entrepreneurs maintained by the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw in Warsaw, XII Economic Division of the National Court Register under KRS number: 0000326158, NIP: 7010181018, REGON: 141791601, with a share capital of 1,000,500.00 PLN (hereinafter referred to as Linux Polska).

As part of implementing the Personal Data Protection System (SODO) at Linux Polska, it has been decided not to appoint a Data Protection Officer. For matters related to personal data protection and broadly understood privacy, you can contact us via email at biuro@linuxpolska.com.

Purposes of personal data processing

The purposes of personal data processing, their processing time, legal basis for processing, and any legitimate interest in processing personal data. The basis for the purposes of personal data processing:

Article 6 of the GDPR specifies six possible bases for processing personal data:

  • Consent of the data subject,
  • Performance or preparation of a contract,
  • Compliance with a legal obligation,
  • Protection of vital interests of someone,
  • Performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority,
  • Realization of legitimate interests of someone.

The administrator processes personal data for the purposes of:

  1. Responding to inquiries submitted via the contact form – art. 6.1.b) GDPR.
    1. Processing time: until the expiration of claims related to the subject of communication.
  2. Managing newsletters – art. 6.1.a), b), f) GDPR.
    1. Processing time: until consent is withdrawn.
    2. Legitimate interest: external communication.
  3. Handling orders – art. 6.1.b) GDPR.
    1. Processing time: until claims arising from the contract expire.
  4. Managing comments – art. 6.1.b), f) GDPR.
    1. Processing time: until consent is withdrawn or the Site exists.
    2. Legitimate interest: external communication.
  5. Handling correspondence – art. 6.1.f) GDPR.
    1. Processing time: until claims related to the subject of communication expire.
    2. Legitimate interest: external communication.
  6. Fulfilling tax and accounting obligations – art. 6.1.c) GDPR in conjunction with applicable tax law provisions.

  11. Preparing and executing orders for provided services, performing contracts, providing information about services offered as necessary to perform contracts – art. 6.1.b) GDPR.

    2. Legitimate interest: increasing operational efficiency and improving service quality.
  13. Offering own services within direct marketing to customers of the Administrator – art. 6.1.f) GDPR.
    1. Processing time: until an objection is raised.
    2. Legitimate interest: marketing own products to customers.
  14. Sending commercial information using electronic communication means within direct marketing services – art. 6.1.a) GDPR.
    1. Processing time: until consent is withdrawn.
    2. Legitimate interest: marketing offers.

Additional Information on Personal Data and Rights of Data Subjects

The administrator does not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area. It also does not make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that would have legal effects on the user or similarly significantly affect them. The administrator uses tools that can take specific actions based on information collected through tracking mechanisms; however, after analysis, it has been determined that these actions do not have a significant impact on the user.

Rights of the Data Subject

A person whose data is being processed has the right at any time to:

  • Withdraw previously granted consent for the processing of their personal data.
  • Request rectification of their data.
  • Limit the processing of data (they may request that the administrator limit processing to storage only or perform agreed actions with the user if they believe the administrator has incorrect data or is processing it unlawfully).
  • Object to the processing of data based on legitimate interest or request their deletion. (The user should indicate a specific situation that they believe justifies ceasing the processing in question. The data will cease to be processed unless the administrator demonstrates that the grounds for processing are overriding the rights of the user.)
  • Access their provided data and receive copies of it or transfer it to another entity. (The user has the right to receive their personal data provided under a contract or consent in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. The user may request that this data be sent directly to another entity.)
  • File a complaint with a supervisory authority. (If a user identifies unlawful processing, they can file a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection or another competent supervisory authority.)

Entities with Access to Personal Data

Access to provided data may be granted to trusted partners of the administrator who participate in performing the aforementioned activities, such as system administrators for marketing or telecommunications, server administrators where data is stored, or other entities if such transfer results from legal regulations. Personal data of individuals, including those acting on behalf of clients, are processed in IT systems used by the administrator. Processed personal data includes information previously provided to the administrator, including but not limited to: name and surname, client company name, positions of contact persons, phone numbers, email addresses, or other business contact details. For contractual services, payment-related data is also processed, including credit card numbers and bank account numbers.

Anonymous Information

Linux Polska processes information to improve the Site to make it user-friendly and enhance online marketing effectiveness. The data we may collect includes: date and time of access, viewed pages and files, user’s country, organization (based on IP address), browser type and version.

The administrator uses cookies on its websites. These are information transmitted and stored in the user’s browser. They allow interaction with the Site as a system rather than individual subpages (e.g., logging in, auto-filling data in comments). These are first-party cookies: session or persistent. Tools used by the administrator to enhance site capabilities or analytics may also leave cookies in the user’s browser – these are third-party cookies.

Linux Polska processes information to improve the Site for user-friendliness. The data we may collect includes: date and time of access, viewed pages and files, user’s country, organization (based on IP address), browser type and version.

In principle, visitors to the Site can change their browser settings regarding cookie usage rules on their devices. They can block automatic acceptance of cookies, request information each time cookies are placed on their device, and disable cookie storage on their hard drive. Restrictions regarding cookie handling used by the Site may sometimes hinder access to it.

Third-Party Cookies

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. It should be noted that owners or administrators of such third-party websites may collect, use, and transmit internet data based on rules different from those of Linux Polska. Upon entering a third-party website, users should review its privacy policy.

Facebook

When a user clicks the “Share” button on the Site, they log into Facebook. A cookie is saved when the browser accesses Facebook. provides specific features and tools, such as pixels, SDKs, and APIs, which users can add to their websites or applications to enable data transmission to Facebook, including data on actions taken on their sites or applications. The Site utilizes the Facebook pixel, a tool that uses cookies to send data to Facebook, including user actions on websites and applications (known as event data).

Twitter

Users clicking the “Share” button on the Site log into Twitter. A cookie is saved when the browser accesses Twitter.

LinkedIn

Users clicking the “Share” button on the Site log into LinkedIn. A cookie is saved when the browser accesses LinkedIn.

Zoho SalesIQ

The ZOHO SalesIQ system used by Linux Polska collects data via a plugin, such as IP address, browser type, browser language, URL, available files, time zone, and operating system of visitors to the Site.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics analyzes websites and collects information on how users interact with the analyzed site using cookies. Data includes: the location from which a user accessed the Site, type of device, number of visits, pages visited, duration of visit, and date of visit. Responsibility Linux Polska is not responsible for events occurring while browsing the Site due to actions by third parties and is also not liable for any malfunction of the Site due to reasons beyond its control, including those caused by third parties or resulting from force majeure.

Changes to privacy policy

Linux Polska reserves the right to update its privacy policy. Changes will be communicated by posting new content in this document on the Site. The last update of this policy was made on November 1, 2023.This policy has been published and implemented.
