Od 30 lat zajmuje się technologią i praktyką zastosowań relacyjnych baz danych. Pracował jako (w kolejności alfabetycznej) administrator baz danych, architekt, inżynier wsparcia sprzedaży, inżynier wsparcia technicznego, konsultant i projektant. Nie unikał także rozwiązywania problemowych zagadnień projektowania czy oprogramowania systemów baz danych w obszarach wymagających nieoczywistego podejścia do skalowania, wydajności i bezpieczeństwa, m.in. dla klientów sektora telekomunikacyjnego i publicznego. W latach 2000-2021 pracował w firmie Oracle. Od 2021 r. w pełnej skali zajmuje się Postgresem, pracuje w firmie EDB i wspiera jej klientów.
