ClickHouse and Linux Polska support are worth considering when:

  • analyzing a growing volume of events takes too long,
  • decision-critical data needs to be available almost immediately after it is generated,
  • the existing analytics architecture cannot keep pace with growing data volumes or query concurrency,
  • additional data copies and integration pipelines are making the architecture increasingly complex,
  • you need a scalable analytics layer for logs, telemetry, application events, or IoT data,
  • you want to run ClickHouse in production with access to EDB support.

A well-designed ClickHouse environment can help you:

  • analyze large volumes of fresh data with low latency,

EDB Postgres AI for ClickHouse – Open Source with Enterprise-Grade Support

EDB Postgres AI for ClickHouse

ClickHouse stores data in columns rather than traditional row-oriented structures. For many analytical queries, this means reading only the required columns instead of entire records. Combined with compression, partitioning, and parallel processing, this architecture enables efficient analysis of very large data sets.

EDB Postgres AI for ClickHouse is based on open-source ClickHouse. It is not a separate fork and it is not a managed SaaS service.

EDB provides supported software packages and images, CVE vulnerability remediation, break/fix support, and defined SLA options.

ClickHouse can run as a single instance or as a distributed cluster using sharding, replication, or both. In replicated environments, cluster coordination is provided by ClickHouse Keeper.

EDB also provides a Kubernetes operator that automates resource creation and configuration, upgrades, and operations related to scaling the ClickHouse environment.

Converged Analytics – Use the Right Engine for the Right Workload

Not every analytics workload has the same requirements. The EDB Postgres AI architecture enables organizations to combine technologies optimized for different data processing patterns.

  1. PostgreSQL – Operational and Transactional Workloads
Within this architecture, PostgreSQL handles operational and transactional data used by business applications.
  2. ClickHouse – Real-Time Analytics
ClickHouse is designed for high-volume analysis of fresh event data, fast aggregations, operational dashboards, and environments with high ingestion rates.
  3. WarehousePG – Complex Analytics on Large Data Sets
WarehousePG is designed for large-scale analytics, complex queries and reports, large aggregations, and analytical workloads involving historical data.
ClickHouse and WarehousePG can operate within the same analytics architecture, allowing different workload types to be handled by the engine best suited to them.
  4. Apache Iceberg – A Shared Data Layer
Apache Iceberg provides an open data format that can be accessed by multiple analytics engines within a Converged Analytics architecture.
Within EDB Postgres AI, PostgreSQL data can be made available for analytics through Postgres Analytics Accelerator and Apache Iceberg. ClickHouse can query data available through an Iceberg catalog without first moving it into native ClickHouse tables.
This can reduce the need for additional data copies and dedicated integration pipelines.

Build a ClickHouse Environment Designed Around Your Data

Need faster analytics for logs, telemetry, or business events? Considering ClickHouse for a new analytics platform, or looking to improve the performance of an existing environment?
Start with an assessment of your use case. We will review your requirements, help define the right architecture, and support the deployment and integration of ClickHouse with your existing data ecosystem.

ClickHouse Use Cases

Observability and Log Analytics

Systems, applications, and infrastructure generate large volumes of logs, metrics, and telemetry. During an outage or incident, the value of this data depends heavily on how quickly teams can search, aggregate, and analyze it.

ClickHouse can provide a high-performance analytics layer for observability data, enabling fast aggregation and analysis across large event data sets.

For PostgreSQL environments, EDB also provides the pg_stat_ch extension, which can send PostgreSQL query execution telemetry to ClickHouse. This enables ClickHouse to analyze larger volumes of operational data generated by PostgreSQL databases.

Fraud Detection and Risk Analytics

In financial and transactional systems, analytical results may be required before a business process or transaction is completed.

ClickHouse can quickly aggregate fresh data and support systems that use information about previous events to calculate risk indicators and identify unusual behavior.

IoT and Telemetry Analytics

Devices, applications, and infrastructure components can generate continuous streams of measurement and event data.

ClickHouse is well suited to environments where large volumes of events are continuously ingested and analyzed with near-real-time latency.

Application and User Behaviour Analytics

Clicks, sessions, application events, A/B test results, and other behavioural data create large and rapidly growing data sets.

ClickHouse can provide the analytics layer for digital platforms, applications, and e-commerce environments where teams need to analyze recent user activity quickly.

Analytics for AI Applications and Agents

AI-enabled applications increasingly require access not only to historical data, but also to the current state of systems and business processes.

EDB provides a component compatible with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling compatible AI clients or agents to connect to ClickHouse and query analytical data.

The integration can be configured according to the principle of least privilege. Write operations are disabled by default and must be explicitly enabled.
